To celebrate our country's recent Independence Day, FAAS is making our own Declaration of Inde'pet'dence and lowering adoption fees to only $50 per pet for the entire month of July. We want all of our healthy happy shelter animals to enjoy the freedom of a new fur-ever home!
All adoption fees include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchip, one-year license for Alameda residents, free wellness exam, free dog training classes and more. Plus, you get the amazing unconditional love that your new pet will provide you every day. Please spread the word to everyone that our shelter pets are eager to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of treats!
To adopt from FAAS, all household members must meet the prospective pet, including any dogs if you plan to adopt a new dog. If you own your home, we need to see proof of homeownership, and if you rent, we need to see a copy of your lease indicating you can have a pet where you live.
And, while you are at FAAS, consider adopting two kittens rather than one! It's been well documented that two kittens are better than one for many reasons. First and foremost, you're saving two lives instead of one. Second, two kittens can endlessly entertain each other. Third, if you have an older cat already, two kittens will likely play with each other rather than driving their new uncle or aunt crazy. Fourth, your kittens will likely have fewer behavior problems if you have two. And, finally, having two kittens will provide you with hours of fun!
