MOUNTAIN VIEW - Police are looking for a suspect in the sexual battery of a woman as she walked near Pioneer Park in Mountain View on Sunday night, according to a police sergeant.

At about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, police answered an emergency call from a 20-year-old woman who reported being attacked as she was walking home on Church Street near the park just west of Castro Street, Sgt. Saul Jaeger said.

The woman told officers a man grabbed her from behind and groped her, then ran through Pioneer Park after a brief struggle, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man about 25 years old who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build and wore a dark shirt.
