Justin Bieber is continuing to show the world's children how to remain mature, calm and brave in the face of conflict.

Bieber is still taking digs at Orlando Bloom, now that he and his team of 32 bodyguards are no longer in danger of being slapped by a man who plays a pointy-eared elf. After his conflict with Bloom earlier this week at a restaurant in Spain, Bieber posted a picture of the actor on Instagram in which Bloom seems to be wiping a tear from his face while on a red carpet.

He must've just listened to some of Bieber's music.

E! News reports the photo was taken late last year during the "Romeo & Juliet" premiere on Broadway. Bloom apparently became emotional while being comforted by co-star Condola Rashad.

That's perfectly OK. Real men cry. They also try to punch Justin Bieber in the face when he makes a rude comment about their supermodel ex-wife.

Which is what happened -- allegedly -- early Wednesday at Cipriani in Ibiza, Spain, according to multiple reports and a fun video posted on TMZ. Bieber and his entourage reportedly approached the table where Bloom was dining with Leonardo DiCaprio. Bloom -- who apparently isn't over reports that Bieber flirted with his ex Miranda Kerr a couple years ago at a Victoria's Secret fashion show -- ignored Bieber's attempted handshake. Bieber responded, according to differing reports, by saying either "She was good," "Say Hi to Miranda," or "I can't believe how much you look like one of the Nelson brothers in 'The Hobbit.'"

Well ... that last one is just a guess.

"When they were back together again, Orlando threw a punch at Bieber. He just tried to pop him! The whole place cheered," an insider told The New York Post. A Bieber source said Bloom's punch missed: "There was no contact. He missed. Then there was some 'tough-guy shoving' and they were separated."

Right. Those are a couple tough guys. Especially when a good wind picks up and they have to grab something so they don't blow away.

After Bieber left, he posted and then deleted a picture of Kerr in a bikini on Instagram. Being the good Christian lad he is, Bieber later tweeted he was "keeping it positive."

Right.

Public opinion seems to be pointed in Bloom's direction. E! News reports someone has created an online petition, asking President Barack Obama to declare July 29 "National Orlando Bloom Day."

"On a fateful evening this July 29, 2014 actor Orlando Bloom fed the Pop Music miscreant Justin Bieber a knuckle-sandwich on behalf of the entire civilized world," the petition reads.
