OAKLAND -- Three suspects are being sought by police for at least three street robberies that happened within an hour Tuesday in North Oakland and the Pill Hill area.

No one was injured in any of the robberies. The suspects simulated a gun and took cell phones, purses and other items in the robberies, police said.

The last robbery happened about 12:40 p.m. in the 3100 block of Summit Street near the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center.

In that robbery, two men targeted a woman and fled in a waiting red four-door Dodge Neon with tinted windows, driven by a third man.

Police said they believe the same suspects unsuccessfully tried to rob a man about 11:55 a.m. near the intersection of 52nd Street and Telegraph Avenue after breaking into his vehicle and taking his backpack and computer.

The suspects also robbed a woman about 11:47 a.m. in the 400 block of North Street.

One of the robbers is described as black, in his 30s, between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, about 175 pounds with shoulder-length dreadlocks and a dark complexion. Police did not release complete descriptions of the other suspects.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering as much as $7,500 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the robbers. Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3326 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
