DUBLIN -- Following a three-week investigation, police arrested nine suspects and broke up an illegal marijuana operation valued at close to $2 million in Dublin.

A search warrant, which came on the heels of the investigation and surveillance, was served Wednesday at a home in the 5400 block of Aspen Street, Lt. Herb Walters said.

More than 1,000 marijuana plants, about 82 pounds of processed marijuana and more than $10,000 in cash were found inside the home, Walters said.

Each room of the home contained illegal marijuana grows, equipment used to grow the marijuana and a complex ventilation system to hide the smell of the cannabis, Walters said.

The street value of the marijuana was estimated at close to $2 million.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police at 925-462-1212.
