HALF MOON BAY - A driver who crashed into a Half Moon Bay residence Friday morning was discovered to be high on marijuana, the sheriff's office said.
The driver was found after he crashed into the front corner and stairway of a home in the first block of Creekside Drive at 10:39 a.m., according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
The driver told deputies that he had confused his gas and brake pedals. The deputies concluded the man was high on marijuana, the sheriff's office said.
He was arrested and identified as Ivan Sebastiano Valverde, 19, of Half Moon Bay, the sheriff's office said.
