SAN JOSE -- Officers are on the lookout for a car involved in a shooting Friday afternoon where no one was reportedly injured, police said.

Around 3:18 p.m., officers on patrol on Ezie Street and Richdale Avenue in South San Jose when they saw a man standing next to a car talking to someone inside, according to police. The man outside the car then pulled out a handgun and began shoot at the car, which sped off shortly after shots rang out.

Officers pulled up and arrested the man who opened fire, also taking his gun. He has not been identified.

Police said so far, there have been no reports of any shooting victims at local hospitals.

The car involved in the shooting that fled the scene has not been found and police do not know if the driver was hit by gunfire.

Officers are speaking with neighbors to see if anyone may know what led to the shooting.
