ANTIOCH -- Police have arrested a 19-year-old Antioch man in connection with a fatal shooting of 25-year-old Paul Chambers in Bay Point.

Homicide detectives with the Contra Costa Sheriff's Office took Khalil Hardy into custody Thursday afternoon in Antioch and booked him into County Jail in Martinez on suspicion of murder, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

About 10:30 p.m. Aug. 8, after receiving reports of gunshots, sheriff's deputies arrived at the 2200 block of Placer Drive to find Chambers wounded and lying in the doorway of a home.

He was pronounced dead at John Muir Medical Center in Concord.

Police did not release any information about a possible motive in the killing.
