A traffic stop led to the arrest of a 26-year-old man after officers found two pounds of suspected marijuana in his vehicle.

The man was pulled over about 9:20 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 200 block of Seventh Street. Officers found the marijuana after they arrested him for driving with a suspended license and searched the vehicle before towing it, police said.

A background check also revealed that felony warrant existed for the man's arrest, as well as a misdemeanor warrant for failing to appear in court, police said.

TUESDAY, AUG. 19

  • VEHICLE THEFT ARREST -- Police arrested a woman, 34, after she was allegedly caught driving a stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Park Street. The woman, who was drunk, also faces a charge of resisting arrest because she struggled with officers as she was being taken into custody about 12:10 a.m., police said.

  • BURGLARY -- Someone cut a window screen and then reached through the window to grab a purse at a business in the 1200 block of South Loop Road. The theft, which police have classified as a burglary, was reported about 7:55 a.m.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicle theft was reported at 9 a.m. at Clement Avenue and Chestnut Street.

  • BURGLARY -- Someone broke into a locked storage container in the 1500 block of Ferry Point and stole items from inside in what police have classified as a burglary. It was reported about 1:20 p.m.

    THURSDAY, AUG. 21

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- A 47-year-old man whom officers contacted at his residence because a misdemeanor warrant existed for his arrest was found in possession of methamphetamine, police said. The arrest occurred about 5:20 p.m. in the 100 block of Cardigan Bay.

    FRIDAY, AUG. 22

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a 37-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving after a traffic stop just before 11 p.m. in the 600 block of Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway.

    SATURDAY, AUG. 23

  • DRUG POSSESSION -- Police arrested a motorist after he was allegedly found with methamphetamine and a pipe for smoking the substance. The 28-year-old man, who was arrested following a traffic stop about 1:35 a.m. in the 2200 block of Santa Clara Avenue, was also driving on suspended Arizona driver's license, police said. Police also arrested a woman, 28, on suspicion of possessing drug paraphernalia about 6:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of St. Charles Street, where officers initially contacted her as a suspicious person and a background check revealed she was on federal probation.

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a 30-year-old man on suspicion of drunken driving at Eighth Street and Santa Clara Avenue about 4:15 a.m. after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. A woman, 39, was also arrested on suspicion of drunken driving following a traffic stop just before 10 p.m. in the 2500 block of Blanding Avenue.

  • VEHICLE THEFT -- Vehicles were reported stolen about 11:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Marina Village Parkway and at 5:30 p.m. at Otis Drive and Willow Street.

    SUNDAY, AUG. 24

  • DRUNKEN DRIVING -- Police arrested a man, 31, on suspicion of drunken driving about 2:20 a.m. following a traffic in the 2000 block of Central Avenue. A woman, 27, was arrested about 4:05 a.m. on suspicion of the same offense in the 2700 block of Fernside Boulevard after police received a report of a reckless driver in the area.

  • MARIJUANA POSSESSION -- Police arrested a 21-year-old woman after marijuana was allegedly found in her vehicle during a traffic stop about 11:40 p.m. in the 700 block of Central Avenue.
