PMS Learnscape for Drum to be dedicated
The Piedmont Educational Foundation and Piedmont Middle School will unveil the new PMS Learnscape Lunchpark on Friday in memory of beloved school supporter Bill Drum.
The event will be held at 4 p.m. Friday.
In October 2013, the Piedmont school board approved up to $100,000 to create the Learnscape, which will be a green area where students can gather for environmental education and respite.
The money comes from leftover modernization funds received from the state.
Drum, 73, a popular and exceptional community leader, died in January 2013.
