The father of Ariel Winter now has control over her estate (translation: her fat bank account) as part of a settlement struck Wednesday outside a Southern California courtroom.

The 15-year-old "Modern Family" star now lives with her sister Shanelle, who has been her guardian since October, when a judge stripped Ariel's mom, Chrystal Workman, of her custody rights. Ariel alleged her mother psychologically and physically abused her.

Ariel's sister will remain her guardian and Glenn Workman will manage her money, according to TMZ. The website pointed out that Glenn Workman earlier filed a declaration in the case calling Ariel "my retirement surprise child," and objecting to Shanelle being Ariel's guardian.

The new deal is temporary, but can become permanent in March.

TMZ reported that Chrystal Workman was outside the courtroom, saying loudly, "They're stripping everything from me."
