The spot: Oakland Internet Cat Video Festival, 3-10 p.m. May 10, Great Wall of Oakland, West Grand Avenue between Telegraph Avenue and Broadway.

The vibe: It's so hard to find like-minded couple friends, isn't it? People who share your interests. Your values. Your love of cats. You might just find them on May 10, when Uptown Oakland transforms into a feline frenzy, and the funniest and cutest Internet cat videos from around the world will be woven into an hourlong movie projected on the Great Wall's 10,000-square-foot urban canvas. But that's not it. Before the first video screens at sunset, you can stroll hand in hand admiring cat-themed art projects, fur-tography and even consider taking home another kitty from the adoption area. Cuddles is so lonely at home.

The details: $5-$75; reserved and VIP seating, $50-$75. Video begins around 8:30 p.m. www.oaklandcatvidfest.com.

For the couple who: Embrace their cat obsession.
