Monday, nov. 19

  • 1:47 p.m. -- Olive Avenue. A burglary was reported. The break-in occurred sometime after 9:30 a.m. A burglary was also reported just before 5 p.m. on Oakmount Avenue, police said.

    Tuesday, nov. 20

  • 11:02 a.m. -- Monticello Avenue. A caller told police that a tree fell, hitting his roof and vehicle.

    Wednesday, nov. 21

  • 7:48 a.m. -- Hillside Avenue. A woman told police that a man stole her purse, then fled in a white sedan. The vehicle was last seen traveling south on Hillside toward Oakland Avenue, police said.

  • 1:39 p.m. -- Howard Avenue. The theft of a bicycle and tools from a storage shed was reported.

  • 1:51 p.m. -- Boulevard Way. A woman told police that someone broke into her vehicle. The break-in occurred sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. Another caller reported at 4:49 p.m. that someone rifled through two of his unlocked vehicles on Dracena Avenue and that a bicycle was stolen from his garage. It happened Monday night, the victim said.

  • 8:35 a.m. -- Red Rock Road & Moraga Avenue. An injury traffic accident was reported. The female victim, however, said she did not wish an ambulance dispatched, police said.

    Friday, nov. 23

  • 1:54 p.m. -- Jerome Avenue. Vandalism was reported.

    Saturday, nov. 24

  • 11:41 a.m. -- Manor Drive. A man told police that someone rifled through his unlocked vehicle and stole change from inside. It happened sometime Friday night or early Saturday morning.

    Sunday, nov. 25

  • 9:07 p.m. -- Blair Avenue. A woman told police that someone burglarized her vehicles on three occasions during the previous three weeks, stealing an emergency bag and other items. There have been no signs of forced entry, however.

    If you burn synthetic logs, follow the directions on the package. Never break a synthetic log apart to quicken the fire or use more than one log at a time. They often burn unevenly and will release a higher level of carbon monoxide.
