Contra Costa wins Holiday Classic

A group of Contra Costa All-Stars tackle Michael Adams during Contra Costa's 23-20 win over Alameda County in the Holiday Classic All-Star football game on Dec. 22 at Pittsburg High. Pittsburg High's Craijon Menefee scored on a 1-yard run with just under three minutes left for the winning touchdown. Freedom star Darrell Daniels had six catches for 78 yards while Menefee had a game-high 83 rushing yards to help the Contra Costa team take a 16-0 lead. Alameda then scored 20 straight points. The rosters were comprised of some of the top seniors football players from the East Bay.
