SAN RAMON — The first High School Battle of the Bands is coming to town to give young musicians the opportunity to showcase their music and compete to win prizes.

The live event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 16 is open to students ages 13 to 18 in middle or high school in Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, Danville, Walnut Creek, Alamo, Concord, Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga and Oakland. It will be presented by The San Ramon Arts Foundation, in partnership with DeliRadio.com, at the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center, 10550 Albion Road.

Event organizers are looking for band contestants to enter the battle, sponsors to help support the event and a fan-filled audience. Band entry in the competition is free. The deadline to enter is Friday. For full details, prizes, and entry form, visit deliradiobattle.com.
