OAKLAND -- An argument between two women Monday afternoon in East Oakland ended with one shooting the other, but the victim is expected to live, police said.

Officers were called at 2:10 p.m. to the 1400 block of Seminary Ave. for a report of a person who had been shot.

A preliminary investigation revealed two woman got into an argument and that one of them shot the other in the buttocks before fleeing in a dark-colored car with gold rims.

The victim received aid from an employee at a nearby recreation center before police arrived.

She was taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

It was not immediately known what the woman fought over.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $5,000 in reward money for information leading to the woman's arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call 238-3821.
