OAKLAND -- Senior Eric Thomas scored five touchdowns and rushed for 150 yards in the Bulldogs' victory over visiting Balboa.

Thomas broke a 6-6 tie in the second quarter with a 41-yard off tackle run to put the Bulldogs ahead 12-6. Tech ended the first half leading 24-6 following two touchdown passes from quarterback James Lewis to Thomas and Kenyon Jackson, who finished with 79 yards passing. Lewis threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

Thomas would rush for three more second half scores on four carries.

The Bulldogs defense played their best game of the season so far, holding the Buccaneers to 32 second half yards of total offense and recovering four fumbles.

Bulldogs defensive back Datoine Attaway had the highlight of the game when he stripped Buccaneers running back Jeremiah Iuli of the ball and raced 57 yards to the end zone.
