If the NBA season starts on time, the Warriors will open the 2011-12 campaign at home on Nov. 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers on national television.

The NBA, which locked out its players on July 1, released the schedule for the coming season. But few expect the season to start on time -- if at all -- considering that the league owners and the players' union are far apart in negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement.

Warriors fans, however, might want the season to start on time, because Golden State received what appears to a break from the NBA schedule-makers.

The Warriors play 10 of their first 17 games at home, including five of those against non-playoff teams. That would seem to favor the Warriors getting off to a good start, which figures to be essential to their playoff hopes.

They close the season with five of eight games on the road, with the season finale being in Los Angeles against the Clippers.

The Warriors are slated for 10 national TV appearances, six on ESPN (including the opener) and four on TNT. That's the most since 2007-2008, when Golden State played 11 nationally televised games.

The last time the NBA locked out its players, before the 1998-99 season, the initial 82-game schedule was scratched, and a new 50-game schedule was created when the owners and players reached an agreement. That could happen again if an agreement is reached too late to play the full schedule.

Here's the complete schedule:
