PLEASANTON -- The host Amador Valley High football team began the game by recovering its own onside kick, and the host Dons never looked back in a 38-0 nonleague win over Skyline (0-2) on Friday.

The Dons (3-0) scored on that opening drive on a 10-yard run by Michael White.

White also scored the first touchdown of the second half on a 15-yard run and ended the night with 85 yards in nine attempts.

While White did the bulk of the carrying for the Dons' offense, Amador Valley also benefited from rushing scores from Jacob Felix and Mitchell Copenhaver.

The two-quarterback combination of Zeke Burgermeister and Ronnie Jones combined to throw for 129 yards and a touchdown.
