THE STAT LINE: Benjamin accounted for 349 yards passing and rushing in the Gauchos' 35-7 victory over Cardinal Newman-Santa Rosa. He completed 18 of his 35 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown, and he also rushed for a team-high 84 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Blake Bierwith

POSITION: Running back

THE STAT LINE: Bierwith rushed for 208 yards and five touchdowns as the Grizzlies beat Castro Valley 48-31 in a nonleague game. He has 559 yards and 10 touchdowns overall in three games, averaging 10.55 yards a carry.

Kat Klass

SCHOOL: San Ramon Valley

SPORT: Water polo

YEAR: Junior

POSITION: Attacker

THE STAT LINE: Klass had 24 goals and 16 steals in five games, leading the Wolves to the Acalanes Invitational title. Her two goals and three assists helped SRV beat Campolindo 6-3 in the championship match. She scored nine times against Rio Americano and seven times against Amador Valley.

Rebecca Langowski

SCHOOL: St. Joseph Notre Dame

SPORT: Volleyball

YEAR: Junior

POSITION: Outside hitter

THE STAT LINE: Langowski was named Most Valuable Player of the George Mark Children's House tournament after she had 39 kills and 18 digs in her team's five matches. In a 29-27, 25-12 win over Clayton Valley Charter in the Gold Division final, Langowski had seven kills, six blocks and three aces. She also had 12 kills, three aces and three digs in a 25-9, 25-16, 25-3 nonleague win over Alameda.

PETER MITCHELL, Acalanes, football, Jr. -- Mitchell rushed 20 times for 224 yards and four touchdowns, helping the Dons improve to 3-0 with a 49-21 win over Irvington.

AHKI MUHAMMAD, James Logan, football, Sr. -- Muhammad, who has orally committed to Nevada as a receiver, rushed for a game-high 112 yards and two touchdowns, and also made a key interception in the Colts' 21-18 victory over San Ramon Valley.

GIRLS

GISELLA MULINGTAPANG, Moreau Catholic, volleyball, Sr. -- Mulingtapang had 118 assists in five matches as the Mariners won the Redwood Empire Tournament. She had 34 assists in the final, a 25-19, 22-25, 15-13 win over host Healdsburg.

YOONHEE KIM, Dougherty Valley, golf, So. -- Kim had medalist scores in two Wildcats' wins in Diablo Foothill Athletic League play. She shot a 1-under 35 in a win over Alhambra at Franklin Canyon Golf Course and a 1-over 37 at Blackhawk Country Club in a win over Las Lomas.
