With the November presidential election heating up, President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney make their way to the Bay Area Sunday and Monday for a myriad fundraising events and appearances. The visit provides an opportunity for the community to reflect on Obama's presidency and the prospect of a Romney Administration.
Join us at the Oakland Tribune's new office at 1970 Broadway, Suite 100, 6-8 p.m. July 23, for an informal, nonpartisan community conversation. Come share your views regarding the upcoming election and sound off on what you feel are the most important issues.
As part of this conversation, we'll be taking notes and distilling the themes raised by those in attendance and will share your thoughts with the White House via its comment line, as well as in emails to the President and Romney campaign.
Space is limited to 20 people. Light refreshments will be served. You must RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
