LONDON -- Felix Sanchez of the Dominican Republic won the men's 400-meter intermediate hurdles Monday night at the Olympics.
Sanchez ran a season-best time of 47.63 seconds.
American Michael Tinley won the silver medal in 47.91 and Javier Culson of Puerto Rico took bronze in 48.10.
American Angelo Taylor, who won gold medals in the event in 2000 and 2008, finished fifth in 48.25. Kerron Clement of the U.S. was eighth at 49.15.
