Our United States already is the most generous nation in the world with foreign aid, military protections, charities and even the NAFTA agreement benefitting the nations to our south.

But we are now broke, still have high unemployment, need our citizens and graduates to be able to get jobs, have schools that are deplorable, need still more prisons, and have inner-city crime rates that need to be reduced. So we need to take care of our own citizens first, and other nations need to take care of their citizens.

We even did the amnesty approach during President Reagan's term, but since then our politicians have refused to secure the border as agreed upon.

Again in 2006, they agreed to build the 2,000-mile fence with 700 miles of wall and 1300 miles of "virtual wall" patrolled by cameras and troops. All this time the polls have shown the public wants this completed, but the politicians like foreigners better than America's own citizens.

If the border had been "secured," there is no way children could enter the country, much less drug cartel shipments and terrorist plotters, but even with the recession and this "shovel ready job," Obama and the Democrats not only have refused to build it, they have sued Arizona for trying to protect its border and have paid for ads encouraging foreigners to come here to get on food stamps and welfare.

We don't need "immigration reform," we need politicians who will immediately secure our borders and enforce our existing laws, which includes generous annual immigration the legal way, and deportation or incarceration for all others.

Almost all nations have borders and enforce them ,as does Canada and Mexico themselves. You need a difficult-to-get work permit to take a job in either of those countries. Even with the Statue of Liberty, we had Ellis Island checking people for their health, their employability, and sponsors, or we sent them back. The plaque then, as now, says to send us your people "yearning to be Free," so they can prosper, not yearning to get "free stuff."

The world is drowning America, with even the terrorist bombers at the Boston Marathon living off taxpayers' welfare; this must stop.

Yes, we are a "nation of foreigners" and love the diversity of peoples and cultures, but we have our own peoples now, our own culture, languages and laws that are what have made us the nation we are. We must also respect and take care of ourselves and our nation for the future of our families and our generations yet to come. The world population is already 7 billion people and climbing an additional billion each 10 years.

Our United States is about 320 million and we must take care of our own and be a good example to the world, so we cannot be the dumping ground of the world's sick, poor or lazy.

Just as the White House and politicians have fences and body guards, our stores have locks and guards, and our homes and apartments have fenced yards and lockable doors, intelligence dictates that we must do the same with our borders, and we must do it now.

These invading "children" don't need a court date and lawyers to also rip us off, they need to be fed and immediately transported back to the families and countries of origin. The $3.7 billion, if anything, should be put to immediately securing our borders, as well as deporting those who've committed crimes in our country and are swelling our prisons.

Employers should all use e-verify for citizenship, eliminate "birthright citizenship" for foreigners, and outlaw any but legitimate citizens being eligible for welfare, unemployment, Social Security, housing, medical programs (other than emergency) or other government taxpayer benefits.

We must "dry up the honey-pot" of free benefits for foreigners, if we are to stop them from invading our nation.
