Wine ingredients should be listedI was delighted to read in the June 13 edition about two wineries that are now listing the ingredients on their wine labels.  
 
Water program must be left where it isAB145 (Assemblyman Henry Perea, D-Fresno), now before the Senate, proposes transferring the state's drinking water program from the Department of Public Health to the State Water Resources Control Board.  
 
Anyone who didn't know, shouldn't voteAnybody who doesn't know that the government is spying on its citizens shouldn't be allowed to vote. Then we'll get a better system of government.  
 
Council shouldn't cut public safety It has been brought to my attention that certain Oakland City Council members support cutting the budget for public safety to fund other expenses, which I don't understand.  
 
City should continue funding First FridaysWhat is it about our city's elected officials that makes understanding Oakland so difficult? First Fridays are not a once-a-year event, they are a monthly reminder to build and celebrate a relationship with Oakland.
