Kent Bazemore scored 18 points and Jeremy Tyler had 14 points and 12 rebounds, leading the Santa Cruz Warriors to a 93-88 victory over the visiting Bakersfield Jam before a sold-out crowd at the Kaiser Permanente Arena on Sunday.

The Golden State Warriors had assigned Bazemore and Tyler to their NBA D-League team earlier Sunday.

Travis Leslie added 15 points for Santa Cruz (6-2), which played its first seven games on the road while the arena was being built.

James Nunnally led the Jam (8-5) with 19 points.

Bazemore was previously assigned to Santa Cruz once this season, scoring 27 points in the team's 101-95 season-opening win at Reno on Nov. 30. Tyler also had made one D-League appearance, posting five points and six rebounds in the team's 95-79 win at Reno on Dec. 2.

Bay Area Olympians swept the singles titles this weekend at the U.S. championships in Las Vegas. Lily Zhang of Palo Alto won her first crown while Timothy Wang, who also trains at the India Community Center in Milpitas, earned his second title.

Wang also won in men's doubles and in mixed doubles with San Jose's Ariel Hsing. Zhang, who reached the quarterfinals of the junior world championships this fall, won a silver medal in women's doubles. She edged Hsing, a star at the London Games, in the women's singles finale.
