No. 2 Stanford upset top-ranked USC 158-137 in women's swimming and diving on Saturday at the Avery Aquatic Center.
Cardinal senior Andi Murez, Maddy Schaefer, Sarah Haase and Felicia Lee set a pool record of 3 minutes, 36.22 seconds in the 400-yard medley relay to start the meet.
Murez also won the 200 freestyle in 1:47.06, and Lee finished in 52.90 seconds to break her own pool record in the 100 backstroke.
DeWames broke the Aquatics Center records in the 50 and 100 freestyle events with times of 23.27 and 50.44, respectively.
Earlier, SJSU beat UC Davis 7-6.
