Top-ranked Stanford outscored No. 3 UCLA 5-1 in the second half en route to an 8-5 women's water polo victory in Sunday's final of the Stanford Invitational.
Anna Yelizarova scored three goals as the Cardinal improved to 8-0. The Bruins fell to 11-1.
In the third-place game, fourth-ranked Cal (5-1) posted a 12-6 victory over No. 8 San Jose State (6-3). Tierra Schroeder had three goals for the Bears, and Timi Molnar scored three times for the Spartans.
Earlier in the day, Stanford breezed 11-2 over UC Davis, Cal beat Hawaii 10-7, and San Jose State routed Hartwick 12-4.

The San Jose State women's tennis team had five wins in singles play and came away with a 5-2 victory in a non-conference dual match against Cal Poly. Sophomore Klaudia Boczova has a five-match winning streak at No. 1 singles for the Spartans.
