The Nashville Predators made Anaheim goaltender Viktor Fasth work hard to continue the perfect start to his NHL career.

Nick Bonino and Corey Perry scored in the shootout, and the visiting Ducks beat the Predators 3-2 on Saturday night to earn their fourth straight victory and eighth in their past nine games.

In the tiebreaker, Fasth allowed just one of three Nashville shooters to score. The 30-year-old improved to 8-0-0 on the season, with four of those victories coming in shootouts.

"We weren't on it right from the start, but we battled our way into the game," Fasth said.

Patrick Maroon's first career goal tied the score at 2-2 at 16:08 of the second period. Kyle Palmieri had the puck on the left boards and threw it in front, where Maroon was able to tip the puck past Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne.

"We were down 2-1, so we knew what we had to do," Maroon said.

"We had to create some energy and create offense and throw pucks at the net and go to the net."

Oilers 6, Avalanche 4: Magnus Paajarvi scored the go-ahead goal in the closing minutes as host Edmonton used a team-record 56 shots to rally from a three-goal deficit and beat Colorado.
