Rays 5, Royals 3: Tampa Bay right-hander Alex Cobb was taken off the field on a stretcher after he was hit on the right ear by a liner off the bat of Kansas City's Eric Hosmer in the fifth inning of the Rays' win.
Rays spokesman Rick Vaughn said all tests were normal and that Cobb suffered a mild concussion. Cobb was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Fla., where he will spent the night.
Cobb tweeted Saturday night: "Can't thank everyone enough for the prayers. Was the only way for me to make it out of there ok. Look forward to getting back out there."
The team said Cobb remained conscious the whole time.
Padres 6, Diamondbacks 4: Yasmani Grandal's three-run homer capped a five-run fourth inning, and San Diego stretched its winning streak to five and reached .500 for the first time in two years.
Blue Jays 6, Rangers 1: Adam Lind and Colby Rasmus hit two-run homers, and Toronto won its fourth game in a row. Texas' season-long losing streak reached five games. All of those losses are at home, and the Rangers have dropped 10 of 14 overall.
Dodgers 5, Pirates 3: Juan Uribe singled home Andre Ethier in the top of the 11th inning to rally Los Angeles. Pittsburgh's Travis Snider tied it in the ninth with a solo home run off closer Kenley Jansen.
Angels 6, Yankees 2: Erick Aybar homered and drove in two runs and Albert Pujols added two more RBIs as Los Angeles sent New York to its fifth straight defeat.
Brewers: Milwaukee placed outfielder Ryan Braun on the 15-day disabled list with an injured right thumb.
