PLEASANTON -- A PG&E outage in Pleasanton Thursday morning left thousands without power near downtown, officials said.
The outage was reported about 8:30 a.m., and at its peak affected about 4,000 customers, PG&E spokeswoman Tamar Sarkissian said. By 6 p.m., that number was reduced to 160 customers.
"We're working as quickly as possible to get our remaining customers restored," Sarkissian said. "We do apologize to our customers for the inconvenience."
PG&E crews determined underground equipment failure to be the cause of the outage, said Sarkissian, who had no immediate estimate of when full power would be restored.
