OAKLAND -- The A's activated centerfielder Coco Crisp from the disabled list Wednesday and he'll start and bat leadoff against the Texas Rangers.
Crisp, who strained his left hamstring April 29 in the 19-inning win over the Los Angeles Angels, had been expected to return on the first day he was eligible to be activated. He's been working out with the team over the last few days and manager Bob Melvin reported he was feeling good.
The A's went 5-9 during Crisp's stretch on the DL and are 6-11 when he's been out of the lineup. They have a 14-10 record when Crisp plays.
