ALAMEDA -- The Raiders have suspended middle linebacker Rolando McClain for two games for conduct detrimental to the team, the club announced Friday morning in a release.

McClain, who will be eligible to be reinstated on Dec. 10, will lose two game checks, a cost of more than $114,000.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen declined to get into specifics of McClain's actions Thursday, only saying there would be consequences to his actions.

CBSsports.com reported McClain was dismissed from practice Wednesday after a ``heated exchange'' with Allen.

Omar Gaither will start at middle linebacker in McClain's place.
