NAPA -- Quick hits Friday from the Raiders' first training camp practice session;

  • Cornerback D.J. Hayden was a limited participant in the first workout, wearing a red "no contact" jersey for a non-padded practice.

  • Second-round pick Menelik Watson and linebacker Miles Burris worked with the athletic training staff, going though agility drills, while the rest of the Raiders went through stretching and warm-ups. Defensive tackle Pat Sims spent practice on an exercise bike in the field house.

  • Quarterback Terrelle Pryor recovered nicely in a passing drill following an interception by Mike Jenkins, connecting on deep strikes to Andre Holmes and Rod Streater. Streater's grab was made with a leap over cornerback Tracy Porter.

  • The Raiders didn't do a lot of seven-on-seven work during offseason workouts, choosing to put quarterbacks under pressure. During seven-on-seven work Friday, Matt Flynn was easily the sharpest of the three quarterbacks.

    Flynn had only one incomplete pass in three sessions, connecting on short and medium-depth throws and two nice crossing routes to Jacoby Ford.

    Pryor was less effective, with a one-hop throw throw to tight end Jaron Mastrud and another which was broken up by Brandian Ross.

    Third-string quarterback Tyler Wilson, the rookie out of Arkansas, had a nightmarish session with three interceptions in four throws, with Cory Nelms, Joselio Hanson and Reggie Smith coming up with thefts.

    The only pass that wasn't intercepted was broken up by Nelms.

  • Rookie sixth-round pick Nick Kasa, who converted to tight end as a senior after being a defensive end, made a nice medium-depth catch from Flynn. Kasa missed most of the Raiders offeseason workouts with a hamstring strain.

  • Second-year guard Lucas Nix opened as the starting left guard over Tony Bergstrom. He was joined on the offensive line by left tackle Jared Veldheer, center Stefen Wisniewski, guard Mike Brisiel and right tackle Khalif Barnes.

    The second team offensive line was Alex Barron at left tackle, Bergstrom at lefg guard, Alex Parsons at center, Jason Foster at right guard and Willie Smith at right tackle.

  • Kaluka Maiava opened at starting weak side linebacker over Keith Burnett, although Burnett subbed for him with the first unit on occasion. The other linebackers were Nick Roach and rookie third-round pick Sio Moore.

  • Tough day for undrafted free agent Sam McGuffie, who had a couple of drops during drills and then ran helmet-to-chest with safety Chance Casey on another pattern.

  • Porter, whose uniform no. 24 was given to Charles Woodson, is wearing no. 31.

  • Friday's practice was the first of 11 sessions attended by season-ticket holders, all of whom were given the chance to sign up to attend one session.
