GREEN BAY, Wisc. — Raiders second-year linebacker Sio Moore was taken off the field on a stretcher after he suffered an injury early in the second quarter of Oakland's exhibition game against the Green Bay Packers on Friday night.
Moore was injured when he pursued a ball carrier and collided with a Packers blocker near the line of scrimmage. It appeared as if Moore got hit in the head and neck area.
Moore lay face down on the ground near midfield for several minutes while medical personnel from both teams tended to him.
Eventually, Moore's head was secured to a body board, while he still donned his helmet.
Moore gave fans a thumbs up as he was wheeled off the field. Fans responded with a hearty applause.
Moore is competing against Miles Burris for the starting job that Moore earned last season.
