SAN LORENZO -- Do you know what San Lorenzo needs in a new school district superintendent? Community members are invited to lend their voice to the search for a new schools chief next week at a pair of public forums.
The first will be held July 29 at 7 p.m. in San Lorenz High School's cafeteria. A second will be held Tuesday, July 30 at 7 p.m. in Arroyo High School's cafeteria.
Input on district strengths, critical issues and superintendent leadership qualities desired will guide the school board in the hiring process, officials said.
A superintendent search survey can be found on the district's website homepage at www.slzusd.k12.ca.us. Responses must be filled out by July 31.
The school district hired executive search firm The Cosca Group, of Fairfield, to find a replacement for retiring Superintendent Dennis Byas, and departed assistant superintendent of human resources, Sharon Lampel. Firm representatives will attend both forums.
Anyone with questions about the forum may call 510-317-4690.
