CONCORD -- The San Lorenzo High football team converted two third-quarter turnovers into touchdowns, after being knocked for a loop by host Mt. Diablo in the first half, and went on to a 32-21 nonleague victory.

Ramiah Marshall, who ran for 108 yards, scored on runs of 12 and 2 yards as the Rebels (2-0) erased a 21-12 halftime deficit.

The Red Devils (0-2) surprised San Lorenzo, coach John Trotman said, when wide receiver Darneial Jenkins played the first half at quarterback. Jenkins threw a 50-yard touchdown to Davail Jenkins in the first quarter. In the second quarter broke out of the pocket for a 67-yard touchdown, and later scored on a 6-yard run.

But in the third quarter his fumble was recovered at the Rebels' 40-yard line, and a 20-yard completion to Keenan Johnson (eight catches, 113 yards) set up Marshall's 12-yard run. A few minutes later, Alex Mira intercepted a Jenkins pass and returned it 8 yards to the Mt. Diablo 2. Marshall scored on the next play.

Jenkins ran for 116 yards and threw for 55, and on defense had four tackles for loss.
