—Redwood City hosts a Veterans Day celebration in Courthouse Square, 2200 Broadway, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a war memorabilia display. Food will be available.
—The 32nd-annual Veterans Day Observance put on by the Avenue of Flags Committee at the Golden Gate National Cemetery, 1300 Sneath Lane in San Bruno, starts at 9 a.m., followed by lunch ($8) at the American Legion Hall, 757 San Mateo Ave.
—In Half Moon Bay, the American League Coastside Post 474, 470 Capistrano Road, is holding a ceremony and service at 11:11 a.m., followed by a lunch that is free for veterans and $7 for guests.
