Planners approve atm for historic building: The Pleasanton Planning Commission voted unanimously to approve Comerica Bank's request to place an ATM in the side of the old Kolln Hardware store at Main and Division streets.
The commission voted 5-0 to deny an appeal of the zoning administrator's early approval for the ATM. The ATM will replace a window on Division street that was installed during reconstruction by building owner Norman Cornett.
Cornett bought the building in 2004 and spent the past four years renovating the structure that was built in 1869. Comerica is scheduled to open in early 2009.
