San Jose teenager Cale McLellan, the son of Sharks head coach Todd McLellan, made consecutive holes-in-one at the Santa Teresa Junior Golf Club's tournament on Saturday.
McLellan, who aced the 84-yard eight hole at the Santa Teresa Golf Club Short Course, amazingly the 14-year-old followed that up with another ace on the 116-yard ninth hole.
How incredible was McLellan's performance? Consider that, according to www.holeinoneinsurance.com, the odds of a player recording back-to-back aces is 1 in 1.56 million.
McLellan used his sand wedge for his first ace on the eight hole and then used a wedge while scoring another ace on the ninth hole -- on a shot that took one bounce and landed directly into the cup.
McLellan finished the tournament in a second-place tie in the Intermediate Flight with a nine-hole score of 26, good for one-under.
