The Raiders reached agreement on a four-year contract with Iowa tight end Brandon Myers, according to Myers' agent on Twitter.
Myers, a sixth-round pick, was Oakland's final selection in the NFL draft in April. He is the first of the team's seven draftees to reach agreement on a contract. The Raiders waived the rights to fellow sixth-rounder Stryker Sulak on Monday.
Also, the Raiders released undrafted linebacker Frantz Joseph and converted Miramonte High graduate Chris O'Neill from a tight end to a middle linebacker. O'Neill is an undrafted rookie out of Boise State.
Training camp opens in Napa on July 28.
CFL
Graham Harrell, Texas Tech's record-setting quarterback, signed with Saskatchewan. He wasn't drafted by the NFL. The Roughriders, behind quarterback Darian Durant, are 2-0 this season.

The Sharks signed right winger Jed Ortmeyer, who has played 230 NHL games and spent the past two seasons with the Nashville organization. The Sharks

Midfielder David Beckham was slow and had little role in the Los Angeles Galaxy's 3-1 win over the New York Red Bulls. Beckham's return to MLS was played before just 23,238 at Giants Stadium (N.J.). He was replaced in the 70th minute. The Galaxy improved to 6-3-9, and the Red Bull fell to 2-14-4. It was Beckham's first match since he played for AC Milan in the Italian League's season finale May 31.
Golf
Jeff Klauk needed just nine putts in his first nine holes en route to a 64 at the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee. Also at 6 under was Greg Chalmers.
Horse racing
Trainer Steve Asmussen was suspended for six months after one of his horses tested positive for a local anesthetic last year. The Lone Star Park (Texas) board of stewards suspended him for Timber Trick's positive test. He appealed the suspension. Asmussen trains Preakness-winning Rachel Alexandra.
Tennis
Marinko Matosevic and Nick Lindahl won third-round matches at a USTA challenger at Aptos' Seascape Sports Club. Matosevic beat Alex Bogomolov 7-5, 6-2, and Nick Lindahl ousted Andrea Stoppini 6-4, 7-5.
WNBA
Phoenix suspended Diana Taurasi for two games without pay after she was cited on drunken-driving related charges July 2. She is due in court Wednesday.
