Kevin Martin scored 48 points and Beno Udrih hit a game-tying layup in the closing seconds of regulation to help Sacramento to a 127-116 overtime victory over the Memphis Grizzlies in the Kings' home opener Monday night.

After starting the season with three straight losses on the road, the Kings came through late to delight a rare sellout crowd in Sacramento.

It was a back-and-forth game down the stretch with both teams delivering big shots on a night little defense was played.

The two biggest shots for the Kings were Udrih's driving layup with 1.6 seconds left in regulation and Martin's seventh 3-pointer of the game that gave Sacramento a 116-112 lead with 1:45 left in overtime.

Allen Iverson made his Memphis debut after missing the first three games while recovering from a partial right hamstring tear. He scored 11 points.

Clippers 93, Timberwolves 90: Chris Kaman had 25 points and 11 rebounds, Eric Gordon hit the go-ahead layup with 1:32 to play, and host Los Angeles beat Minnesota. Gordon finished with 17 points as the Clippers improved to 1-4.

Knicks 117, Hornets 111: David Lee scored 28 points, Al Harrington had 13 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, and New York earned its first win of the season by beating visiting New Orleans. Larry Hughes added 20 points in his first start of the season after he didn't even play in the Knicks' first two games. New York led only 92-90 before Harrington

and Lee sparked a decisive 10-2 run.

Bobcats 79, Nets 68: Gerald Wallace had 24 points and 20 rebounds, and host Charlotte held New Jersey without a point for more than 10 minutes en route to a victory. The Bobcats went on a 24-0 run bridging the third and fourth quarters in Raja Bell's return. Deciding to put off surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left wrist, Bell shot 1 for 8 and finished with three points. The Nets also lost Yi Jianlian with a sprained medial collateral ligament. He'll undergo an MRI today to determine the severity of his knee injury. In the first quarter the teams combined to make 8 of 42 shots and New Jersey led 14-10.

Rockets 113, Jazz 96: Rookie Chase Budinger had 17 points and was one of eight Houston players to score in double figures as the visiting Rockets beat Utah. Houston pulled away with a 13-0 run early in the fourth quarter.

Celtics: Rajon Rondo says he's agreed to a five-year contract extension with Boston, keeping the point guard from entering the market as a restricted free agent after the season. The deal reportedly is for $55 million. ... The league is reviewing a postgame incident involving Rondo and New Orleans' Chris Paul, who pursued the Celtics guard to the locker room and had to be blocked by Boston assistant coaches Sunday.

Bucks: Guard Michael Redd is out for at least two weeks with a strained tendon in his left knee.

Knicks: Guard Nate Robinson could miss two weeks because of a sprained right ankle.

Nets: Devin Harris has a strained right groin, and it remains uncertain when the guard will return.

Pistons: Guard Richard Hamilton will miss a third straight game with a sprained right ankle when Detroit hosts Orlando tonight.

Timberwolves: The team exercised contract options for next season on Corey Brewer and Kevin Love. Brewer is guaranteed a $3.7 million salary in his fourth year and Love a $3.6 million salary in his third year.

Mavericks: Assistant coach Popeye Jones is free on bond after being arrested on a drunken-driving charge in Richardson, Texas. Owner Mark Cuban declined comment.

Etc.: Bill Walton won't return as an ESPN analyst, saying "it is time to dedicate the rest of my life to service."
