STATS THAT MATTER: SJSU quarterback David Fales broke three records last week and should break another one this week. He's six completions away from breaking Scott Rislov's 2002 record of 275. ... Freshman kicker Austin Lopez also is poised to surpass a record. He tied Sergio Olivarez's 1986 kicker scoring record last week by reaching the 86-point mark for the season. ... SJSU is holding opponents to a 31.6 percent conversion rate on third down, tops in the WAC and 20th in the nation. ... Louisiana Tech is seventh in the nation in turnover margin at plus-14.
