Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder and ESPN reporter Samantha Steele were married Monday in a courthouse in Hudson, Wis., according to court officials.
Ponder, 24, and Steele, 27, were married by Court Commissioner Stephen Dunlap.
According to county records, Steele listed an Arizona address, while Ponder listed his residence as Excelsior, Minn.
It is the first marriage for both.
According to previous reports, the two met earlier this year on the set of ESPN's "College GameDay." Ponder confirmed in October that the two were dating.
Wednesday morning on Twitter, Steele wrote: "Who knew that 'she's pregnant' & 'they'll be divorced soon' are just the 2012 version of 'congrats'! Thx guys! :)"
Ponder played for Florida State and was drafted by the Vikings in 2011. His father, David Ponder, played for Florida State in the early 1980s — under his son's initial FSU coach, Bobby Bowden — and then played one season for the Dallas Cowboys.
The Vikings are in the hunt for a playoff berth, facing the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers in the final two weeks of the regular season.
