Saint Mary's College is scheduled to have at least 10 of its men's basketball games televised live on ESPN networks this season.

Santa Clara will have three of its West Coast Conference games on ESPN. The network is also expanding its coverage of the WCC tournament, broadcasting five games from Las Vegas.

The Gaels are scheduled to have six conference games aired, including both contests against Gonzaga (Jan. 2 at Gonzaga; March 1 at home). The Gaels' three Diamond Head Classic contests from Dec. 22-25 are also on the schedule.

  • Former Saint Mary's basketball star Matthew Dellavedova signed a nonguaranteed contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers and will attend the team's training camp.

  • Idaho State's Brendon Garcia, a senior from Monte Vista High, was named National Placekicker of the Week by College Football Performance Awards and the Big Sky Conference special teams player of the week after kicking four field goals and four PATs in a 40-14 win over Dixie State. Garcia kicked field goals of 27, 40, 33 and 24 yards.

  • San Jose State sophomore Cody Blick of Danville shot a final-round 68 and earned co-medalist honors at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate in Pullman, Wash. The win is the first of Blick's collegiate career.

    Starting the day in seventh place, SJSU improved its standing by two spots. It shot a 283 (+3) and moved ahead of both Chico State and Santa Clara and finished in fifth place. The Broncos and Wildcats ended tied for sixth. Washington State, the tournament host, earned the win with a 54-hole total 836 (-4).

  • Cal's women's golf team claimed a nine-stroke victory at the Ptarmigan Ram Classic following a final-round 286 at the Ptarmigan Country Club in Windsor, Colo. San Jose State finished 12th after its final-round 303.
