San Jose State's Cody Blick shot an even-par-71 to win the Wolverine Intercollegiate golf tournament on Tuesday in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Blick is the first Spartan to win back-to-back tournament titles since Arron Oberholser did it in the 1995-96 season.

Landon Polterock posted the best round of the day for San Jose State, a 1-under 70, and finished tied for 28th. The Spartans finished seventh overall.

  • Kaci McCartan shot a 1-under par 215 to win her first collegiate tournament, and the Santa Clara women won the Boise State Bronco Fall Invitational by seven strokes at the Boise State Bronco Fall Invitational played at the Falcon Crest Golf Club. McCartan won by two strokes over teammate Annie Freman (who finished in a four-way tie for second). Meghan Shain finished in a tie for seventh.

    Football

    Matt Cochran, Cal's starting right offensive guard, will undergo surgery Thursday to repair a high ankle sprain and is expected to be sidelined for at least a month. Alejandro Crossthwaite and Bill Tyndall will be among those competing for the spot while Cochran recovers.

  • Bryce Treggs was one of nine receivers added to the watch list for the 2013 Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to college football's outstanding receiver.
