UCLA 59, New Mexico State 13: Brett Hundley passed for 280 yards and three touchdowns, and No. 13 UCLA honored late receiver Nick Pasquale during its victory over the undermanned Aggies (0-4). Jordon James rushed for a career-best 164 yards and two scores in UCLA's first home game since Pasquale was hit by a car and killed two weeks ago. The Bruins (3-0) ran their first offensive play with 10 men on the field in the walk-on sophomore's honor, and the Rose Bowl crowd waved blue towels and wore T-shirts emblazoned with his No. 36.
UCLA took a 45-0 lead through three quarters, giving the Bruins 83 unanswered points after scoring the final 38 in last week's comeback victory at Nebraska.
Washington 56, Idaho State 0: Keith Price threw for 213 yards and three touchdowns in less than a half, Deontae Cooper scored his first career touchdown after three major knee surgeries, and the No. 17 Huskies (3-0) routed the visiting Bengals (2-1) of the FCS.
Cooper arrived on campus in 2010 as one of the Huskies' recruiting gems. Then came the first torn ACL in his left knee, followed a year later by a second torn ACL in the same knee. Finally, during fall camp in 2011, Cooper sustained yet another ACL tear, this time to his right knee.
Cooper was rewarded Saturday when he got into the purple end zone in Husky Stadium on a 4-yard run on the first play of the fourth quarter.
USC 17, Utah State 14: Cody Kessler passed for 164 yards and a touchdown, and the Trojans defense stifled the explosive Aggies (2-2). Andre Heidari's 25-yard field goal with 13:35 remaining provided the winning points for host USC (3-1), which had just 282 total yards.
"Nobody remembers that," USC coach Lane Kiffin said of the close final score. "It's the topic right now for the next 48 hours, and that's fine."
Utah State averaged 49.3 points, 29 first downs and 550.3 yards and converted 30 of 46 third-down opportunities in its first three games. USC held the Aggies to just 285 yards, 13 first downs and 5 of 17 third-down conversions.
Utah State's Chuckie Keeton completed 21 of 39 passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns. He threw for 923 yards and 12 touchdowns in his team's first three games this season.
Utah 20, BYU 13: Travis Wilson threw for 273 yards and two touchdowns and Dres Anderson had 141 yards on eight receptions to lead the Utes (3-1, 0-1 Pac-12) to their fourth straight win over the host Cougars (1-2). Utah has won nine of the last 12 games in the series overall.
Washington State 42, Idaho 0: Connor Halliday threw four first-half touchdown passes, two to Gabe Marks, and the host Cougars improved to 3-1 for the first time since 2006. WSU recorded its first shutout since beating Idaho 25-0 to open the 2003 season.
Oregon State 34, San Diego State 30: Foothill High-Pleasanton product Sean Mannion threw three touchdowns passes, and the Beavers (3-1) scored three times in the fourth quarter to come from behind and defeat the host Aztecs (0-3).
After Mannion hit Terron Ward (De La Salle) for a 10-yard score to pull Oregon State within 30-28, cornerback Steven Nelson intercepted Quinn Kaehler's pass and returned it 16 yards to give the Beavers the lead with 2:38 remaining in the game.
