Although the Los Angeles Lakers are still uncertain when Kobe Bryant will be on the court this season, general manager Mitch Kupchak isn't pushing for an answer.
Kupchak said Wednesday that the Lakers have "no real expectations" about Bryant's health. "I do believe he'll get back and play this season."
Kupchak said Bryant was at the Lakers' training complex almost every day this summer, working to return from April surgery on his torn left Achilles tendon. Though Bryant has made progress, he hasn't yet returned to the court for any basketball work.
The Lakers hold their first training camp practice Saturday.
Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller, back from an injured knee, will start Saturday against Wisconsin, coach Urban Meyer said. "He looks pretty close to 100 percent," Meyer said. Backup Kenny Guiton is coming off back-to-back Big Ten offensive player of the week honors.
