Stanford was fourth, Cal eighth and San Jose State 13th on Saturday after the second round of the Stanford Intercollegiate hosted by Condoleezza Rice on the Stanford Golf Course.

USC led the team standings at 20-under-par 548, followed by UCLA (556), Washington (566) and Stanford (568). Cal was at 581 and SJSU at 591.

USC's Sophia Popov led individuals at 9-under 133. Stanford's Mariah Stackhouse was fourth at 5-under 137, and San Jose State's Regan De Guzman was tied for sixth at 3-under 139.

  • The San Jose State men's golf team finished in third place at the Price Give 'Em Five Invitational in El Paso, Texas, to wrap up its fall schedule. The Spartans teamed for a 4-over-par 292 in the final round to finish at 11-under 853 for the tournament. Cody Blick shot a 1-under 71 for a 9-under 207 total and a tie for second place among individuals.

  • Hanah Blume led all hitters with 16 kills, but the San Jose State volleyball team (5-16, 2-8) hit just .163 in a 25-12, 25-18, 25-11 loss at No. 12 Colorado State (19-0, 10-0) in a Mountain West match in Fort Collins, Colo.

  • The San Jose State women's swimming team lost its home opener 178-116 to UC Davis. Seniors Ashlyn Acosta and Erika Harvey each won two events for SJSU. Acosta won the 200 butterfly (2:01.58) and the 100 butterfly (56.03). Harvey took first in the 50 freestyle (23.40) and the 100 freestyle (51.76). The two teamed in the 200 medley relay with Christina Bruni and Darcie Anderson for a first-place finish in 1:44.49.
