For the second straight year, Stanford has sold through its allocation of tickets to the Rose Bowl Game, according to the school's website.

Stanford season ticket holders were provided first priority to purchase Rose Bowl Game tickets, and the few remaining tickets were sold out minutes after they went on sale Tuesday to non-season ticket holders, according to gostanford.com.

In other Stanford news, David Shaw was named as one of five American Football Coaches Association's 2013 Regional Coach of the Year winners.

  • San Jose State wide receiver Tyler Winston was named the Mountain West Freshman of the Year.

    Wide receiver Chandler Jones, linebacker Keith Smith and defensive back Bené Benwikere were first-team All-Mountain West honorees. Quarterback David Fales was a second-team selection along with offensive lineman Nicholas Kaspar and kicker Austin Lopez.

  • Cal has set its spring football game for Saturday, April 26 at Memorial Stadium. The event will be free to the public, beginning at 11 a.m.

  • College of San Mateo offensive lineman Haniteli Lousi has committed to play at Oregon, according to the recruiting site 247sports.com. Lousi, a product of Fremont's Washington High, is 6-foot-5, 295-pounds and expected to play guard. He is the No. 1 rated offensive guard in the 2014 class by 247Sports.com.

    Cal's Kevin Grimes has been named Far West Region coach of the year, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America announced. Grimes led the Golden Bears (14-5-2) to their third trip to the NCAA quarterfinals, where they lost Saturday to Maryland 2-1.

    Bears defenders Steve Birnbaum and Christian Dean were named to the All-Far West first team while midfielder Seth Casiple made the third team. Stanford's JJ Koval and Zach Batteer were second-team selections and freshman Jordan Morris was on the third team with Santa Clara's Carlos Montes. Cal Poly forward Mackenzie Pridham of Santa Cruz also made the first team.
