Ducks 5, Predators 2: Ryan Getzlaf scored twice, Jonas Hiller made 36 saves and NHL-leading Anaheim beat Nashville to snap a three-game losing streak.

Avalanche 5, Islanders 2: Matt Duchene scored two goals 2:44 apart in the second period, and Colorado beat New York.Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog and Paul Stastny each scored for Colorado. Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 30 shots to help the Avalanche snap a two-game skid.

Stars 2, Coyotes 1: Kari Lehtonen made 26 saves as Dallas beat Phoenix. The victory moved Dallas into the eighth and final playoff position in the Western Conference for the first time this season.The Stars and Coyotes have identical 27-21-10 records for 64 points, but Dallas holds a tiebreaker over Phoenix.

Maple Leafs 3, Canucks 1: Phil Kessel scored the go-ahead goal midway through the third period, and Toronto handed Vancouver its seventh straight loss. Mason Raymond and James van Riemsdyk also scored in the third for Toronto, and Jonathan Bernier made 23 saves.

Lightning 4, Red Wings 2: Alex Killorn scored a tiebreaking goal late in the third period, Ondrej Palat had two goals and Tampa Bay beat Detroit in the Red Wings' 6,000th regular-season game. Killorn beat Jimmy Howard from just outside the crease to give the Lightning a 3-2 lead with 3:11 to play.

Canadiens 4, Hurricanes 1: David Desharnais scored twice and Montreal went into the Olympic break with a win against Carolina. Ryan White and Brian Gionta also scored for the Canadiens, who won their third in a row.

Capitals 3 Devils 0: Julien Brouillette broke a scoreless tie with his first NHL goal midway through the third period, Braden Holtby stopped 25 shots and Washington beat New Jersey.

Blues 4, Jets 3: T.J. Oshie and Vladimir Tarasenko scored in a shootout to give St. Louis the win.

Bruins 7, Senators 2: Patrice Bergeron scored twice and added an assist for Boston.
